PTE Academic is one of the world’s most popular English proficiency exams, but accessible, high-quality practice tools were scarce. Most existing platforms offered static question banks with no intelligent feedback — students had no way to understand why they were getting answers wrong or how to improve.
We saw an opportunity to build something fundamentally better.
Our Approach
As SIAGB’s own product, Marvel PTE was built from the ground up with AI at its core — not bolted on as an afterthought. We assembled a cross-functional team covering ML engineering, full-stack development, UX design, and exam content expertise.
The product strategy was clear: build the most accurate AI scoring engine on the market, wrap it in an adaptive learning experience that guides students to their target score, and launch fast.
The Solution
Marvel PTE is a full-stack AI exam preparation platform featuring:
- AI-powered scoring engine — automated evaluation of speaking, writing, reading, and listening responses with accuracy aligned to official exam standards
- Adaptive learning paths — the platform analyses performance patterns and adjusts question difficulty and focus areas in real time
- Template Detector — proprietary AI that identifies overused response patterns and suggests safer alternatives
- Speaking Analyzer — deep speech analysis mapping pauses, words-per-minute, grammar, and fluency metrics
- Real-time analytics — students see exactly where they stand, which skills need work, and how they’re improving over time
- Full mock exam simulations — timed, realistic practice sessions across PTE Academic, PTE Core, and LanguageCert
The platform was built on a modern cloud-native stack (AWS), designed for scale from day one.
